Omega successfully planned and executed the Fifth Annual Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) Conference 2001.

Alexandria, VA (April 13, 2001)-Omega Security International, LLC, a full service information technology, telecommunications and broadband Internet connectivity provider, announced today that it has successfully planned and executed the Fifth Annual Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) Conference 2001. The Conference was held from April 9 to April 12, 2001 at the Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The conference host, LTG Peter Cuviello, the Army's Director of Information Systems for Command, Control, Communications and Computers (DISC4) as well as the Army's Chief Information Officer (CIO) used the DOIM Conferences to inform civilian and government IT professionals about his vision of transforming the Army's information technology. Key constituencies represented at the conference were the CIO Executive Board and worldwide DOIMs. The conference was a valuable professional forum for civilian, government and industry attendees.

1633 attendees and 106 corporate exhibitors attended the four-day program of professional events, which was planned and executed by a small Omega's team. The conference's centerpiece was the General Session during which General Cuviello gave the keynote address, calling for all present to be agents of changes as the Army transitions from "infrastructure" to "infostructure". Please visit the DOIM website at www.doim.army.mil/dc2001 for links to slide presentations. The remainder of the program was a rich menu of panel discussions, information technology demonstrations by selected commercial vendors and information exchange forums. After presentations on the Quadrennial Defense Review and Army Transformation, attendees participated in the exhibits.

Omega Security International, LLC is proud of its involvement in this vital conference. Currently, Omega is preparing and looking forward to a successful DOIM Conference 2002 to be held next spring.
